a kiss
pours out into my soul
from the Heavens
sun beams stretch forth
blinding me to everything else
distractions fade
face down on the threshold
I crucify my pact with self
and bind my new life
with the blood of my salvation
which bleeds over my canvas
and the angel of death passes me by
partaking of the cup
tasting the sweet agony
Salvation hung on a tree
while i sit below catching droplets of freedom
bludgeoning my flesh
until my sinfulness spills out all around
I kiss my savior
overflowing with His blood
the embodiment of color
becomes my canvas
and the kiss of blood
washes my sins
